December 6th 2018

Finally a surf spot! I'm hoping we have a surfboard on the iroof n the next week or so. A little wiring to do for the new battery monitor I got and I hope I won't have to watch over it as closely as I have been! Topped up the waters in all the batteries before it got to low, so at least I'm doing something right!

After a grueling session of basketball an hour north of New Orleans we finally made our way there. Getting to our campsite (Walmart in central New Orleans) wasn't easy after we got off the main road, we were driving about 15km/hr so to not bounce around to much - they may as well have been unkept Saskatchewan or Manitoba or roads. Also the trees gave us a bit of a scare as you can see in the picture. Some of them were fairly low and we could see where other trucks had hithit them.

After we settled down we ended the day with a watching of Forest Gump and a hotdog onion rice stir fry made by Joel.
